Background
One of the largest Fuel Terminals in Australia, this terminal is used for import, storage and export of diesel and motor spirit (unleaded based) fuel and the bulk distribution of fuel via road fuel trucks. The facility includes facilities for blending butane, naphtha, toluene and the addition of customer specific fuel additives.
Outcomes
QGE developed the PLC program for the provided PLC hardware which consisted of Allen Bradley ControlLogix processors, remote Ethernet I/O, intrinsically safe I/O, and GuardLogix safety PLC hardware.
QGE developed the SCADA system utilising AVEVA PlantSCADA with the PlantSCADA Situational Awareness layout, AVEVA’s solution for Abnormal Situation Management (ASM). ASM is a process for improving performance, and promotes effective utilization of all available resources (i.e. hardware, software, and people) to achieve safe and efficient operations.
