QGE Renewables and Energy Management
We’re passionate about sustainability and about solving the technical challenges associated with moving away from fossil fuels towards cleaner energy sources. QGE is at the forefront of renewable and sustainable energy systems and we have a deep understanding of the regulatory and supply authority requirements when they are connected to the grid. Our renewables experience covers solar PV, biogas, biomass, wind, hydro and bio-ethanol, and we are currently involved with or have contributed to projects delivering well over 100 MW of renewable energy across Australia, and have participated in several research projects in collaboration with University of Queensland.
We specialise in grid connection services for small and mid-size commercial and industrial PV installations, and our export control panels are installed all over south-east Queensland. We offer power system modelling (including economic modelling), harmonic and load-flow analysis and pre-and post-connection power quality monitoring with our design certification and connection services.
Battery storage is the next frontier in this space, and our renewables and controls groups are at the forefront of integrating, controlling and managing large battery, inverter and hybrid energy systems, and providing end-users with rock-solid telemetry and performance data, whatever the challenges may be – multiple sites in remote locations, satellite communications, warm beer, no beer, we’ve dealt with it all at some point.
